Reserve Tables Today for 16th Annual Joe White Memorial Dinner and Auction to Benefit Hancock Athletics

Tickets are on sale for the biggest and most important fundraiser of the year for the Allan Hancock College athletics department. The 16th annual Joe White Memorial Dinner and Auction will take place Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge. Guests will be able to bid on dozens of items, including tickets to watch a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco 49ers, rooms at luxury resorts, sports memorabilia, as well as unique and mouth-watering dining experiences for up to 50 people.

Sponsored by the Hancock College Boosters, Inc., the event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Allan Hancock College athletics department. Since 2001, the event has raised nearly $800,000 for capital improvements to benefit Hancock athletics. Donations have resulted in the renovation and naming of Joe White Gymnasium and John Osborne Field, as well as upgrades to the softball field and renovations to the press box in the gym.

The Santa Maria Elks Lodge #1538 is located at 1309 North Bradley Road in Santa Maria. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a social hour and silent auction. A New York strip dinner prepared by Cowboy Flavor will be served at 7:07 p.m., with the live auction to follow. The price of admission to the fundraiser is $60 per person. Sponsorship opportunities range from $1,500 to $5,000.

For $5,000, a Touchdown Sponsor receives treatment set for a Super Bowl MVP. Sponsors receive a reserved table for 10 with complimentary wine; food and wine service; a company banner displayed at every Hancock athletics home game; a full-page ad in the event program; company logo on the official Hancock Athletics website for a year; 10 season passes to athletic events; athletic apparel; and dinner and beverages for 20 either in the press box for a home basketball game or a tailgate party at a home football game.

For $2,500, Homerun Sponsors will receive a reserved table for 10 with complimentary wine, food service, a company banner displayed in the Hancock gym for a year, a ¼-page ad in the event program; two season passes for all home games; and athletic apparel.

A reserved table for 10 with complimentary wine; food service; a mention in the event program; four tickets to a home game of their choice; and athletic apparel will go to Hole-In-One Sponsors for $1,500.

The Hancock Boosters, Inc. continues to help fundraise for a new video scoreboard for the college's on-campus football stadium.
