Rain Alters Schedule for Hancock's Bulldog Bound Event on Saturday, April 7

The wet weather predicted to hit the Central Coast on Saturday has altered plans slightly for Allan Hancock College's Bulldog Bound event on Saturday, April 7. Fifth- and sixth-grade students and their families will still be able to catch the baseball team battle Santa Barbara City College at 2 p.m. for free. However, the college's softball game against Taft set for 12 p.m. on Saturday has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. on April 13 due to the rain.

The gates to Hancock's Baseball and Softball Complex will open at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Parking in the lot at the field is free.

Children will receive commemorative Bulldog Bound autograph books and get an opportunity to meet Hancock student-athletes. They can also enter a drawing to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the baseball game. The Sun Devils, a local softball team of 10-year-old girls, will sing the national anthem at the baseball game.

The Bulldog Bound program aims to create a college-going culture among children and their families though outreach events to introduce them to the college, as well as its programs and services.
