The Falcon's struggles continue in the early part of the spring season, as they failed to capitalize on an early lead against host Allan Hancock College, losing 9-6. The Bulldogs came into this game 1-0 and were ranked #15 in Southern California. The Falcons got a great pitching performance from spot starter Ryan O'Donnell, who pitched 4 innings and only gave up one run while striking out 4 batters. The Falcons got on the board first in the top half of the 2nd inning as Evan Walter led off the inning with a hit by pitch. After a perfectly exectuted hit and run from Alante Uribe moved Walter to 2nd base, Adrian Flores came up big with a two out RBI single to left field, putting the Falcons up 1-0. The Falcons had their best inning of the spring in the 4th, as Jake Lorenzini led off with a walk, which was followed by a drag bunt single from Andrew Bladt. The Falcons then got consectutive singles from Walter and Uribe, which plated two runs. Flores then came up with one out and hit another RBI single, bringing in Walter. Preston Riley came up and hit a chopper to 2b which was misplayed by the Bulldogs, bringing home Uribe and giving the Falcons a commanding 5-1 lead. 

The Falcons went to the bullpen in the 5th inning, as Simeon Combs came in to pitch and struggled with control. After two walks were issued to start the inning, Combs gave up a single to Zac Lampreia making the score 5-2. After a wild pitch brought in another Bulldog run, Combs gave up a triple scoring the final run of the inning for the Bulldogs, leaving the score at 5-4. Brandon Barker came in to relieve Combs and was effective, though he did give up the tying run in the bottom half of the 6th on a two out RBI single by Lampreia. The score stayed tied until the bottom of the 7th where the Bulldogs got to reliever Jayden Hunt with two singles, a double, and an error, putting the Bulldogs up for good 9-5. The Falcons would score in their half of the 9th inning as Flores led off with a walk and went to third on a single by Jacob Evangelo. Flores scored on a RBI groundout by Nate Olvera. But the lead was too big for the Falcons to overcome as they lost 9-6. Falcon hitters scattered 8 hits, as Walter and Flores had multiple hit games, and Flores and Uribe both had 2 RBI's. 

The Falcons will head home for a three game homestand, as they host Monterey Peninsula on Thursday at 2pm, Allan Hancock College on Friday at 2pm, and DeAnza College on Saturday at 1pm, all at Keith Scrivner Field.
