Pitcher Henry Fienga Named to 2015 Academic All State Team

Allan Hancock College pitcher Henry Fienga has been named to the 2015 Academic All State Baseball Team. The sophomore left-hander is a business major with a 3.71 cumulative grade point average.

A total of 73 student-athletes in the state were named to the prestigious list. A player needed to be in his second season on the team and have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.50 to be eligible.

Fienga has started four games this season for the Bulldogs. He is 2-2 with a 3.72 ERA over 19 1/3 innings. The Cabrillo High School graduate went 3-0 with one save his freshman year for the Bulldogs.

Hancock was one of three Western State Conference –North Division programs to be represented on the Academic All State Team.
