Bio

Carlson begins his fifth season as an assistant coach for Chris Stevens at Allan Hancock College.  A Lompoc High School graduate, Carlson earned a scholarship out of high school to the University of Hawaii. He played in 11 games and collected four hits and scored five runs his freshman season at Hawaii. After a series of injuries, Carlson returned home to play at Hancock. In 2004, Carlson led the Bulldogs in batting average (.339) and scored 35 runs and posted a .430 on-base percentage. He earned All-Conference and All-Southern California honors. He went on to play Division I-baseball at San Francisco State, primarily as a pitcher.
