Bio
Fernandes was a First Team All-League pitcher for the league champion Arroyo Grande High School baseball team his senior season. The right-hander went 5-2 with a 1.74 ERA and 42 strikeouts over 52 1/3 innings pitched. He threw a two-hit shutout against Righetti and struck out a season-high nine in a complete game win over Southlands Christian. A first-generation college student, Fernandes is a business major.
