Bio
Fernandes was a First Team All-League pitcher for the league champion Arroyo Grande High School baseball team his senior year. He went 5-2 with a 1.74 ERA and 42 strikeouts over 52 1/3 innings. He threw a two-hit shutout against Righetti, and struck out a career-high nine in a complete-game win over Southlands Christian. The business major plans to become the first member of his family to receive a college diploma.
