Martin was named the Los Padres League’s Pitcher of the Year his senior year after he helped Cabrillo win its first league title in five years. Martin went 10-2 with a 1.00 ERA over 76 2/3 innings. He limited opponents to a .185 batting average and struck out 64 batters. Throwing a complete game in a 5-1 win against Lompoc to clinch a league title is his favorite sports memory. During his four-year varsity career, he went 24-15 with a 2.00 ERA. He is a history major who plans to become a teacher.
