Sweep Success: Gold Team Wins 2017 Bulldog World Series

The fall season came to a close in exciting fashion for the Allan Hancock College baseball team. The gold team swept the blue team to win the 2017 Bulldog World Series. It marked only the second sweep in the 16-year history of the Bulldog World Series. Sophomores Quinntin Perez (pictured below, left) and Daniel Curiel (pictured below, right) received the Co-Most Valuable Player awards.

The Bulldog World Series is an annual tradition to end the fall season. The roster is divided into two teams and the squads compete in a best-of-five-game series while wearing retro uniforms from the 1980s. The winners receive a BBQ with all the fixings like chicken, linguisa, beans, salad, bread and homemade brownies. The losing team serves the winning team and receives a meal with chips and a hot dog. It's all in good fun and a memorable way to end the fall season.
