Registration Under Way for Hancock Summer Youth Baseball Clinics

The annual tradition of summer youth baseball camps will return to the diamond at Allan Hancock College in June. The Hancock baseball program will host two, four-day summer youth clinics at John Osborne Field on the Santa Maria campus from Monday, June 11, through Thursday, June 14, with a second clinic scheduled for Monday, June 18, through Thursday, June 21. Children, ages six through 13, are invited to sharpen their hitting, fielding and pitching skills at the camp that will run each day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The cost to attend a clinic is $125 per child, and $75 for each additional family member. Children can attend both clinics for $200. Registration is under way. Parents and guardians should first register online at athletics.hancockcollege.edu/camps/baseball_camps_2018 . Checks are due the first day of camp and should be written to Allan Hancock College Baseball.

Instructors include Head Coach Chris Stevens, members of his coaching staff and Hancock players. Additional veteran baseball coaches from the area will also provide tips to campers.

All camp participants will receive a free t-shirt. For more information, email Hancock baseball head coach Chris Stevens at cstevens@hancockcollege.edu

The baseball program will also host youth clinics during winter break in December.
