Bio

With nearly 50 years of coaching experience, Coach “Maytag” begins his 42nd year at Hancock. Under his guidance, the linebacker positions have provided a consistently strong foundation for the Bulldog defense. Sparked by the linebacker corps, Hancock’s defense ranked second in California with 16 fumble recoveries, fifth in rushing defense (83.3 yards/game), and tenth with 38 sacks in 2018.

 He played football and baseball at Humboldt State and later became a student assistant after graduation. He spent eight years at Lompoc High School before moving to Allan Hancock College in 1977. He and his wife Marian have two children, Lauren and Frank Jr.
