Hancock Basketball Teams to Fundraise in October, Host Haunted Maze Called "Frightmare Forest"

Attention ghosts and goblins! A maze filled with spooks and surprises is coming to Allan Hancock College just in time for Halloween. The men's and women's basketball programs are hosting "Frightmare Forest" as a fundraiser for both programs.  The haunted maze will be built and located in the college's Baseball and Softball Complex and adjacent vineyard.

"This will be the only outdoor haunted maze on the Central Coast set in a natural environment," said Tyson Aye, head coach of the men's basketball program. "Kids of all ages and their families and friends will be able to experience a good old-fashioned scare."

"Frightmare Forest" will run from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings from October 16-31. Free parking and the entrance to the maze are located at the Baseball and Softball Complex, which is located off South College Drive.

"The event will entertain people, as well as promote Hancock's basketball teams right before our seasons begin," added Aye. "My ultimate goal is to make Frightmare Forest a tradition for kids to look forward to every year."

Tickets are $10 per person. The event is open to people of all ages.

Proceeds will be used for equipment, travel and other expenses related to running the men's and women's basketball programs.
