Reserve Your Seat Today on Rooter Bus to Watch Men's Basketball Battle San Bernardino in Regional Finals Saturday

Bulldog fans will get a chance to participate in March Madness this week. Students, faculty, staff and community members have an opportunity to take a rooter bus to watch the Allan Hancock College men's basketball team play at San Bernardino Valley College on Saturday in the regional finals of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Regional Playoffs. The game starts at 7 p.m.

The Hancock College Boosters, Inc. is sponsoring the rooter bus. A seat on the bus and a ticket to the game will cost $25 for adults and members of the public. Current Hancock students can reserve a seat and receive admission to the game for $10. Payment is due prior to boarding the rooter bus.

The bus will leave from outside building N, where the college's gymnasium and track are located, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The bus will return to the college immediately after the game.

Seeded No. 10, the men's basketball team secured a spot in the regional final with a 70-67 overtime win at No. 7 Fullerton last Friday. The Bulldogs earned their first postseason win in 17 years and advanced to the regional finals for the first time since 1990. San Bernardino, the No. 2 seed, advanced with an overtime win over No. 18 Antelope Valley College.

"Having Bulldog Nation in the stands at a road game really pumps up our student-athletes," said Tyson Aye, head coach of the Hancock men's basketball team. "Last week, the team received a huge boost from the entire Hancock baseball team and other Bulldog fans who traveled to Fullerton. We are hoping for the same home-crowd feel when we represent Hancock and the community in the regional final."

The winner of Saturday's game will be one of the final four teams from the Southern Regional to advance to the State Finals. The final four teams from the Northern Regional also move on to the State Finals.
