BULLDOGS WIN L.A. SOUTHWEST TOURNAMENT, RICKS SELECTED AS TOURNEY MVP

Hancock Men's Basketball win the L.A. Southwest College Tournament in convincing fashion. 

The Bulldogs faced Orange Coast College, Santa Ana College, and the tournament host team L.A. Southwest during the event. 

The Bulldogs won by an average of 17 points per game and out-rebounded their opponents by 18 rebounds per game. 

Sophomore forward Spirit Ricks was selected as tournament MVP. The reliable Ricks scored 15 points per game and grabbed down 7 rebounds per contest. 

The Bulldogs are currently ranked #10 in the state and are 10-2 overall after winning the tournament.

Next, Hancock hosts the 54th Annual Holiday Classic Dec. 28-30th. The three-day tournament features storied programs from all over the state, including Cuesta, L.A. Southwest, Merritt, Palomar, and San Jose City. All games will take place inside Joe White Memorial Gymnasium on the Santa Maria Campus. Hancock opens against Merritt at 5 p.m. on Friday.
