Bulldogs Bounce Cuesta En Route to Four Game Win Streak

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball program's win streak stretched to four as they bounced Cuesta College, 66-51, at home on Monday evening. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (12-8, 4-1 WSC) held a hefty 20 point advantage at the intermission after a red-hot start to the night and cruised to victory with a solid second half. Coach Aye's squad closed the contest with a 43 percent effort from the floor while limiting the Cougars (10-13, 5-2 WSC) to a 29 percent finish and a 7-for-31 mark from three-point land. Hancock also dominated in the paint after outrebounding Cuesta at a 51-28 margin and registering 24 second-chance points. 

Matt Solomon led the Bulldogs with a 26 point performance after going 10-for-17 from the field while hitting six three-pointers. Amari Stroud recorded his third consecutive, and seventh overall, double-double after notching 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bryce Craver posted a team-high of 12 rebounds and chipped in with seven assists while Noah Haaland added eight points and eight rebounds. 

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, February 9th, at Cuesta College. The game is slated to tip-off at 5 PM in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
