Men's Basketball Secures Fifth Straight Win at Cuesta

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball program completed a season sweep and collected a fifth consecutive win with an 86-70 victory at Cuesta College on Wednesday evening. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (13-8, 5-1 WSC) put together a complete game with a solid performance in both halves. As a team, they finished the evening with a 52.5 mark from the floor while limiting the Cougars (10-14, 5-3 WSC) to just 34.3 percent from the field. Coach Aye's squad also held a hefty 43-26 advantage on the boards and limited the home team to a 9-for-33 finish from distance. 

Balanced scoring for Hancock led to four members finishing in double figures. Vondre Chase led all scorers with a career-high of 30 points, which included five made three-pointers. He also chipped in seven rebounds, three blocks, and two assists. Bryce Craver also had a stellar night after recording 10 assists and a career-high 14 rebounds en route to a double-double showing. Amari Stroud narrowly missed out on a double-double after registering 19 points and nine rebounds. Shawn Kelly and Aaron Moore rounded out the top scorers with 12 and 10 points, respectively. 

The Bulldogs are set to continue league competition with a road trip to Santa Barbara City College on Saturday, February 12th. Tip-off for the event is set for 5 PM in Santa Barbara, Calif.
