Roxbrough Fires Season-Low Round of 74 to Lead Bulldogs During WSC Tournament  #9

Sophomore Justin Roxbrough shot a season-low round of 74 during the ninth and final Western State Conference tournament of the year for the Hancock men's golf team on Monday. The tournament took place on the 6,808-yard Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura.

Roxbrough tied for 12th place overall in the individual standings with a two-over par 74. William Mullins from College of the Canyons earned individual medalist honors with a three-under 69.

The Bulldogs finished sixth in the team standings with a total score of 392. Canyons finished first with 362, followed by Glendale with 368, Ventura with 371 and Santa Barbara City College at 379. Citrus finished eight shots ahead of Hancock in fifth place, while Antelope Valley (395) and Bakersfield (397) finished seventh and eighth overall.

Fresh off his individual medalist honor last week, Alejandro Nicolini fired a 77, as did freshman Robert Zimkowski. Shawn Brackett shot a nine-over 81 and Triston Ioppini carded an 11-over 83.

The WSC Championships will be on Monday, April 27, at the Antelope Valley Country Club in Palmdale. The championships will be 36 holes.

Hancock enters the WSC Championships in sixth place overall.
