Linn Finishes Sixth Overall, Bulldogs Place Fifth at WSC #3

Freshman Alex Linn carded a five-over 76 to lead the contingent of Allan Hancock College golfers during the third Western State Conference match of the season. Hancock finished fifth out of eight teams overall on the par-71 Stockdale Country Club in Bakersfield on Monday.

Hancock freshman Adam Burrola fired a six-over 77 to finish tied for 12th overall. Nick Zimkowski shot a 79, Ryan Chamberlain carded an 83, and Joshua Salisbury shot an 89.

Matt Cheng of College of the Canyons won medalist honors with an even-par 71.

Santa Barbara City College won the meet with 385 total strokes. Ventura finished second one stroke behind at 386, Canyons finished third with 389, and Citrus placed fourth with 390. Hancock finished with 404 strokes, ahead of Antelope Valley, Glendale and Bakersfield.

Hancock returns to action Monday, February 29 when Ventura College hosts WSC#4 at the River Ridge Golf Club.
