Mendoza Closes Freshman Campaign at SoCal Regional Championship

CHINO, Calif. - Nico Mendoza was the lone representative of the Allan Hancock College men's golf team at the 2025 Southern California Regional Championship in a 36-hole showing at the Los Serranos Country Club on Monday. 

The freshman product from Bakersfield became the second member of the Bulldogs crew in two seasons to qualify for the postseason event, following behind Johnathan Riley's advancement last season.

Mendoza closed out his first collegiate season with a 60th place after carding a final score of 164 at the event. He closed out round one with a final score of 81, followed by a tally of 83 in round two.
