Bio

The 2023 season will be McComish's fifth season at the helm of the Hancock golf program. He played professional golf for 13 years, including five on the PGA Tour. He led the PGA three times in driving distance. During his career, he played alongside and learned from some of the biggest names in golf like Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino and Fred Couples. McComas belonged to the “350 Club” and participated in long drive exhibitions around the world.

Since retiring from the tour, he has spent more than 20 years as PGA pro and teaching professional at golf facilities. Currently, McComish is a teaching professional at Rancho Maria Golf Course.

Born and raised on the Central Coast, McComish played golf for St. Joseph High School, Allan Hancock College, and California State University, Northridge. His daughter, Sarah, is an assistant women’s golf coach at Arizona Christian University.
