MEN'S SOCCER TIES GLENDALE, 1-1

SANTA MARIA-- Victor Velasco's unlikely free-kick goal in the 75th minute gave the AHC men's soccer team a 1-1 Western State Conference tie with visiting Glendale Friday on the campus field.

Hancock (2-13-3, 1-10-3 WSC) trailed 1-0 at the break, the result of Glendale's lone goal of the game, which came in the 11th minute. Bulldog goalkeeper George Hunter turned in an outstanding performance, saving no less than nine Vaquero shots on goal. It was the second 1-1 tie the teams have played this season, having battled to the same result in Glendale back on Oct. 5.

The Bulldogs will close out the 2004 season on Monday, Nov. 8, in a home match against Citrus College, beginning at 3 p.m. on the campus field.
