Hancock Men's Soccer Team Looks to Get Back on Track in Conference Play

The men's soccer team (1-7-1, 1-11-2) continues its conference action with a road game on Tuesday at Santa Barbara (4-3-1, 5-7-1) and a home match on Friday against Glendale (4-4-1, 4-7-3).

The Bulldogs are coming off a 5-0 loss at Oxnard and 6-3 defeat at L.A. Mission College. Adrian Diaz (Cabrillo HS), Oscar Muñoz-Quintana (Arroyo Grande HS) and Chris Lemus (Nipomo HS) each scored once for the Bulldogs at Mission. Diaz upped his team-leading total to five goals this season.

Hancock fell 2-1 last month at home to SBCC with the Vaqueros scoring the game-winning goal in the 26th minute on a score by Kieron Coleman. Jorge Marin netted Hancock's goal against SBCC. Mehdi Badache leads SBCC with seven goals, including a pair in Santa Barbara's 5-1 win over Moorpark last week.

The Bulldogs will also try to even the season series with Glendale after the Vaqueros edged Hancock 1-0 last month. Dennis Valladares scored the only goal of the game against the Bulldogs in the 12th minute. Valladares, Yeson Urizar and Max Trautmann are tied for the team lead this year with two goals apiece.
