Baldan Scores Game-Winner and Baro Makes 12 Saves, Men's Soccer Wins Season Finale 1-0

Federico Baldan buried a penalty kick with 20 minutes to play in the season finale to deliver a 1-0 victory for the Allan Hancock College men's soccer team over L.A. Mission on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs ended the season winning two of their last three matches. Hancock finished the season 5-14-2 overall, and 3-7 in Western State conference play.

Baldan's second goal of the season came in the 60th minute. Overall, Hancock took 15 shots on offense, including 10 on frame.

Freshman goalie Maisen Baro, a Righetti High School graduate, made 12 saves for Hancock.

Sophomore forward Jorge Guzman finished the season with a team-high 11 goals. The Righetti High School graduate ended his Hancock career with 17 goals and five assists.  Miguel Gomez ended his freshman season with 10 goals and a conference-leading 11 assists.

Baldan, Guzman, and fellow sophomores Carlos Paredes (3 goals, 1 assist), Bernardo Rubio (2 goals, 2 assists), midfielder Javier Rios (2 goals, 1 assist) all played the final games of their Hancock careers.
