Hancock Soccer's Jorge Guzman Named to All-Region Team

Allan Hancock College men's soccer player Jorge Guzman has scored a major honor. The sophomore forward was named to the All-Region Team by the California Community Colleges Soccer Coaches Association (CCCSCA). Coaches selected 24 players from Southern California as the top players in community college soccer. Guzman became the first Bulldog to receive All-Region honors since Rosario Bras led the state with 30 goals in 2010.

Guzman led the Bulldogs in 2016 and finished second in the Western State Conference with 11 goals, the most by a Hancock player in six years. Guzman scored two goals in a game twice this season. The RIghetti High School graduate finished his Hancock career with 17 career goals and five assists.

Last week, Guzman was named to the All-Western State Conference First Team.
