Hancock Bulldogs Score Big, Beat College of the Sequoias

Coming off of a tie against Pasadena City College, the Hancock College Women's soccer team bounced back strong with 5 goals Wednesday afternoon against College of the Sequoias.

The Bulldogs got off to a quick start, with a pair of goals from Sophomore Tatiana Silva, from Nipomo High School, and freshman Sabrina Ornelas from Righetti High School. Both goals were assisted by freshman Lissette Calderon from Lompoc High School.

The Giants fought back, scoring a goal of their own at the 47 minute mark. However, a great defensive effort by freshman goalie Alejandra Ibarra, who finished the game with 6 saves on the day, was impressive the entire game.

The Bulldogs responded with 3 unanswered goals by Silva, freshman Jennifer Perez, and freshman Sienna Ramirez to put the match out of reach with a final score of 5-2.

The Bulldogs will host L.A. Harbor this Friday, Sept. 13th at 2pm.
