de Comarmond spent one year running track at Cal State Los Angeles and was part of the 4x100 relay team that qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships. He won three-straight Los Padres League titles in both the 110 meter and 300 meter hurdles. He was also part of the league champion relay teams in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

His personal-best times are 10.98 seconds in the 100, 21.97 in the 200, 50.71 in the 400, 15.23 secoonds in the 110 meter hurdles and 59.4 seconds in the 400m hurdles.
