Dionisio Wins High Jump at Antelope Valley Invitational
Allan Hancock College's Brent Dionisio won the men's high jump, and Taylor Nevitt won the women's shot put during the Antelope Valley College Invitational Friday. Hancock was one of almost 12 schools to participate in the meet where no team scores were calculated.
Dionisio, a sophomore, cleared a career-best six feet, nine inches to win the high jump. He later finished eighth in the long jump in 20-3.75. 
Freshman Jose Rodriguez cleared 13 feet to finish fourth in the men's pole vault. Ben Wulfestieg came in fourth ih in the javelin throw with a top mark of 135-2.5. He also earned eighth placei in the shot put with a mark of 39-2.25.
On the women's side, Nevitt won the shot put with a mark of 39-1.  The sophomore also finished ninth in the javelin by hitting 76-1, and fourth in the discus throw at 122-8.
Sophomore Rachel Naugle finished third in the women's steeplechase with a time of 12:51. 
Hancock returns to action Saturday, March 25, at the Bakersfield Relays.
