Wulfestieg and Tulloch Lead Hancock Men's Track and Field at WSC North Meet

Freshman Haleigh Batty won the women's long jump event for the third straight week and Ben Wulfesteig finished fourth in the men's shot put with a season-best mark for the Allan Hancock College track team during the Western State Conference North Meet hosted by Ventura College on Friday.

Batty won the long jump with a top mark of 17 feet, 11.25 inches. The freshman also came in second in the high jump by clearing 4-11.5.

Cherry Inay finished third in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.81 seconds. She also finished sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:15.2.

On the men's side, Wulfestieg recorded a season-best mark of 42 feet, 5 inches for a fourth-place finish in the men's shot put. Sophomore Nate Tulloch finished sixth in the 100-meter dash by crossing the line in 11.86 seconds. Yovany Pineda completed the 3,000-meter run in 9:52 for a seventh-place finish.

The Bulldogs will enjoy a break from competition before returning to action on March 16 at the Bakersfield Relays.
