Bio
The Righetti High School graduate is a communications major at Hancock. She played in 25 games as a freshman for the Bulldogs in 2014. She went 5 for 7 at the plate with 3 RBI and a .714 batting average. She also scored 10 runs. Cortez calls winning the Western State Conference title last season her greatest athletic accomplishment. Her aunt played on Hancock's conference championship squad in the late 1990s.
