The honor adds to an already impressive resume for Bayne, which also includes a two-time All-Conference designation. As a well-rounded player that excelled on both offense and defense, Bayne closed her sophomore campaign by averaging 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. Her points per game mark ranked her 11th in the state while her 98 made free throws placed her at 13th across CCCAA competitors.

Bayne, also the newest member of the 1,000 point club at Allan Hancock, led the team with 462 points scored on the season and registered at least 15 or more points in 17 games this season. The Arroyo Grande native, who started in all 22 of her appearances this season, also recorded five double-doubles and one triple-double during the 2021-22 campaign.
