Women's Golf Places Fifth at WSC #3

CAMARILLO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf program continued competition at the third Western State Conference meet of the season, hosted by Moorpark College at the Sterling Hills Golf Course in Camarillo. 

The Bulldogs finished in fifth place through the field of seven after shooting 385 on the day, a significant improvement on last week's score of 427. Freshman Kariss Whitford led the way for the program after carding a team-low of 84, placing her in a three-way tie for 9th in the individual standings. Danica Black also finished in the top-25 after finishing tied for 16th with a score of 90.

Moorpark led the pack with a final tally of 339, followed by College of the Canyons (340) and Santa Barbara City College (345). 

Hancock is set to return to action on Monday, September 25th, for another conference event at the Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura.
