Women's Soccer Searches for First Conference Win Tuesday

This Week: Tues. 10/21, vs. Ventura*, 4 p.m.

            Fri. 10/24, @ Santa Barbara City College*, 7:30 p.m.

The Hancock women's soccer team (0-5, 2-10)will look to snap a few droughts this week. The Bulldogs will look for their first home and conference wins of the season, as well as score their first conference goal when Ventura visits Hancock on Tuesday. Freshman Kaitlin Campbell (Orcutt Academy) enters the week as the team's top scorer with six goals.

The Bulldogs lost their only match last week 1-0 at home to Moorpark. The only goal came in the 60^th minute. Sophomore goalie Courtney Crowe (Nipomo HS) made 22 saves in the net for the Bulldogs.

Ventura is tied for third place in the conference standings at 2-0-3 and 6-2-4 overall. Sabrina Lopez and Miranda Camps lead the Pirates with five goals apiece.

Santa Barbara blanked Hancock 8-0 last month. Marissa Stone and Kaitlin Crooker had two goals each against the Bulldogs. Crooker leads the team with eight goals this season, while Aimee Ryan and Sandy Grimaldo have five each.
