Four Women's Soccer Players Named to CCCSCA Scholar-Athlete Team 

Five Allan Hancock College soccer players, four from the women's team and Juan Rios from the men's squad, have been named to the 2018 California Community College Soccer Coaches Association (CCCSCA)'s Scholar-Athlete Team. To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least 24 semester units with a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher.

Representing the women's soccer team on the 2018 Scholar-Athlete Team are defenders Jennifer Perez and Camryn Durnin, as well as midfielders Kassandra Bright and Nancy Esparza

Perez was named to the all-conference second team after scoring twice and assisting on another goal during her freshman campaign. Bright had one assist and received all-conference honorable mention.

Rios was a key defender for the men's soccer program the last two seasons. The Pioneer Valley High School graduate played in 35 games in his Hancock career, accounting for one goal and one assist.

Overall, the CCCSCA's 2018 Scholar-Athlete Team features 25 scholar-athletes from 11 men's soccer programs and nearly 70 student-athletes from 16 women's programs.
