Five Women's Soccer Players Score All-Conference Honors

Five members of the Allan Hancock College women's soccer team have received All-Western State Conference honors. Freshman Elizabeth Aldana was named to the first team, while sophomore midfielder Tatiana Silva and freshman defender Jennifer Perez scored second team recognition. Diana De Leon and Kassandra Bright, both freshmen defenders, received honorable mention.

Aldana ranked second on the Bulldogs with five goals and 11 points. She scored two goals in the season finale, a 4-2 win over Oxnard. The Pioneer Valley High School graduate also scored against Pasadena, L.A. Valley, and Cuesta.

Silva led the Bulldogs and ranked fourth in the conference with 13 goals this season. She scored two or more goals on four occasions, including a hat-trick against West LA. Silva accounted for the go-ahead goal in every Hancock victory this season. The Nipomo High School graduate scored three times and had one assist her freshman season with the Bulldogs in 2016.

Perez, a graduate of Santa Maria High School, scored two goals and had one assist during her freshman campaign. She scored in the season opener against Taft and three games later against College of the Sequoias.

Bright had one assist, while De Leon was credited with two assists during their freshmen campaigns.

Hancock finished the 2018 season 3-16-2 overall and 2-8 in conference.
