SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team closed out the 2024 campaign with a 4-1 victory over Cuesta College at home on Friday afternoon. | BOX SCORE
Prior to the game, the Bulldogs honored a group of seven sophomores who competed for the final time in an AHC uniform. The group of honorees included Zorah Coulibaly, Mia Santana, Liliana Jones, Ximena Hinojosa, Alyssa Valenzuela, Daniela Padron, and Isabella Diaz.
Freshman Janeth Davalos registered an early goal in the opening minutes of action to put the Bulldogs (5-15, 2-9) on the board. She netted a second shot with an assist from Coulibaly in the 49th before Hinojosa connected with Jones in the 66th for a third tally. The visiting Cougars (4-11-3, 1-9-1) snuck one past the Hancock keeper in 77th, while Raquel Schmid closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 80th.
As a team, AHC outshot the visiting crew by 14 and held a 7-0 advantage on the edge of the field. Allie Lemmon collected five saves after 90 minutes in the box en route to her fifth win of the season.
The Bulldogs ended the season in fifth place amongst all Western State Conference (North) foes after a 3-9 finish in league play.
