Just three matches into the 2014 season, the undefeated Allan Hancock College women's volleyball team has already matched its win total from last season. The Bulldogs swept two matches on Saturday defeating Cerro Coso 25-14, 25-21 and 25-19 before sweeping Taft 25-23, 25-22 and 25-23. The Bulldogs, who went 3-21 last year, improved to 3-0 under seventh-year head coach Julio Molina.

Freshman Cristine Flores (Pioneer Valley High School) led the Bulldogs with 13 digs, while Rebecca Davis (Lompoc High School) tallied nine digs and four service aces. Sophomore setter Nikki Friend (Cabrillo HS) was credited with 29 assists.

Lecates again led the Bulldogs in the second match with 11 kills to go with 10 digs. Freshman Brittany Bolusan pounded down 10 kills, while Farley added eight more, two service aces and 12 digs. Friend led the Bulldogs with 14 digs and 27 assists. The straight set win marked the second victory for the Bulldogs over Taft in the last four days.
