Volleyball to Honor Three Sophomores Prior to Season Finale, Nov. 14; Free Admission for Youth Volleyball Players

The Allan Hancock College Athletic Department and women's volleyball head coach Julio Molina will pay tribute to the team's three sophomores before the team's season finale on Friday, November 14, against L.A. Pierce. The Bulldogs close out the season in Joe White Memorial Gymnasium against the Brahmas, the 23rd ranked team in this week's state poll, with first serve at 6 p.m.

All youth volleyball players wearing their uniforms will receive free admission to the conference match.

The Bulldogs will honor Cabrillo High School graduates Nikki Friend and Brianna Farley, as well as middle blocker Gabrielle Lecates. All three have been instrumental to the Bulldogs the last two seasons and earned All-Western State Conference honors last year.

"Our three sophomores have been the heart and soul of our team the last two years," said coach Molina. "The team has been decimated by injuries this season, but we've come together behind the leadership and talent of Nikki, Bri and Gabi."

Farley, an outside hitter, leads the team with 267 kills and 279 digs. Lecates ranks second with 223 kills and has a team-high 37 blocks. Friend, a setter, leads the team with 568 assists and ranks second with 256 digs.
