Triple Threat: Farley Named to First Team, Lecates to Second, and Friend Earns Honorable Mention

Brianna Farley was a unanimous First Team selection, Gabrielle Lecates was a Second Team pick and Nikki Friend received Honorable Mention after coaches unveiled the All-Western State Conference Teams on Saturday.

Farley, a sophomore outside hitter, led the Bulldogs this season with 281 kills and 294 digs. She led the conference in kills and set the Hancock record for most career kills with 471. The Cabrillo High School graduate was a Second Team pick her freshman season.

Lecates ranked second on the Bulldogs with 243 kills and led the squad with 40 blocks. The Alaska native and middle blocker was an Honorable Mention pick last season.  She ranks second all-time in program history with 440 career kills.

Friend received her second-straight Honorable Mention selection. The sophomore setter dished out 612 assists this season and ranked second on the team with 277 digs. The Cabrillo High School graduate finished her career with 1,163 assists.

Hancock finished the season 6-18 overall and 1-11 in conference.
