Four Bulldogs Earn All-Conference Volleyball Honors

Western State Conference coaches have honored four Allan Hancock College women's volleyball players for their efforts during the 2015 season. Freshman outside hitter Chyanne Thomas was named to the All-Conference First Team, middle blocker Taylor Nevitt earned a spot on the Second Team, while sophomores Brittany Bolusan and Rebecca Davis received honorable mention. 

Thomas (pictured below, left), a Lompoc High School graduate, finished second on the Bulldogs and ranked 16th in the Western State Conference with 175 kills. The freshman outside hitter had four matches with 10 or more kills, including a career-high 21 against Ventura. She also compiled 195 digs, which ranked third on the team.

          

Nevitt (pictured above, right), a Nipomo High School graduate, led the team and ranked 15th in the conference with 177 kills. Among her top performances were six matches with 10 or more kills, which included 19 kills against Ventura and 18 kills in a five-match win over Cuesta.

Bolusan (below, left) recorded 148 kills during her sophomore season and 24 service aces. The sophomore outside hitter and Lompoc High School graduate recorded 10 or more kills in four matches this season, including a career-high 13 against Ventura.

         

Davis (above, right) took over duties at setter this season and finished with 472 assists along with 225 digs. She ranked fifth in the Western State Conference in total assists. The Lompoc High School graduate set career-highs during a five-set loss to Ventura with 44 assists and 29 digs.

The Bulldogs finished the season 4-19 overall under head coach Julio Molina.
