BULLDOGS HOPE TO TURN SEASON AROUND IN HOME OPENER

With a nice mix of seasoned sophomores and a phenomenal freshmen recruiting class, the Hancock Bulldogs Volleyball team, now 0-3, are striving to have a much improved season in 2018.

The Bulldogs will look to sophomore Mitzi Garcia-Soto, who led the Bulldogs with 37 kills as a freshman in 2017, for some much needed leadership, The Santa Maria High School graduate also finished second on the Bulldogs team with 121 saves.

Freshman outside hitter, Gwen Menane will provide a much needed spark on the offensive end. She recorded a team-leading 116 kills her senior season at Nipomo High School, where she earned all-league honors her junior and senior seasons.  

Another freshman to keep an eye on is middle blocker, Treonna Coleman. She racked up 69 kills and 24 blocks her senior season for Lompoc High School and recorded a season-best 10 kills against Orcutt Academy.

The Bulldogs face off tonight against Contra Costa College at 6pm.
