Make a Historic Splash: Join Hancock Women's Water Polo Team for Inaugural Season

The inaugural women's water polo team at Allan Hancock College started its first official week of practice this week. Already with 12 talented local players on his squad, head coach Ben Britten is looking to add a few more to add depth to the first women's polo team in school history.

The Bulldogs open their 2015 schedule on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at L.A. Valley.

"We have some very talented and experienced water polo players," said Britten. "We still have a few weeks before the season starts, so we are looking to add some depth at all positions."

Interested athletes should contact Britten at benjamin.britten@hancockcollege.edu or call (559) 917-2917. Students must be registered for fall classes at Hancock to be eligible to play women's water polo for the Bulldogs. Students are still able to sign up for classes.

The team practices weekday mornings from 7-9 a.m. at the Paul Nelson Aquatics Center in Santa Maria.

The 2015 schedule features seven games, all of which are Western State Conference contests. Hancock will travel to LA Valley, LA Pierce, Ventura, Citrus and Santa Barbara City colleges. The Bulldogs will host Cuesta and Santa Monica.
