Bulldogs Compete at WSC Championships

The women's cross country team sent two runners to the Western State Conference Championships last week at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura.

Monica Pulido finished the five-kilometer course in 41:31.14, while Roxanne Castillo finished two seconds later in 41:33.37.They finished 95th and 96th overall in the women's field.

Jassmine Macon of Glendale won the individual title with a time of 20:11.19, nine seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Glendale won the team title for the fourth straight year. Canyons and Bakersfield rounded out the top three, followed by Ventura, Citrus, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Cuesta, Moorpark and Oxnard. The Bulldogs did not qualify for the team competition because they did not not have five runners.
