John Osborne Field

John Osborne Field, which serves as the home playing facility for Allan Hancock baseball, was dedicated in January 2013. The field was dedicated to John Osborne, who was a longtime baseball coach who also took over the athletics director position at Hancock. In 1972, Osborne led the Bulldogs to the state championship and over his 31-year career, won 698 games.

Funding for the new baseball field was made possible through Bond Measure I, passed by the electorate in 2006 to support facility and technology improvements at Allan Hancock College.

The newer field is located directly across the street from the AHC Soccer Fields and is adjacent to the softball field. The facility was moved to a location that was better suited to mitigate the Central Coast winds. The construction also included new irrigation, dugouts, and batting cages. The field also has all grass baselines, a more contemporary feature that is easier to maintain than the traditional dirt.
