Curiel hit .261 in 37 games as a freshman for Hancock. He stole a team-high 11 bases on 12 attempts. Curiel scored 24 runs and drove in 12 runs. The Righetti High School graduate had seven games with two or more hits, including three 3-hit games. He collected three hits and 3 RBI in a game against Santa Barbara City College. Winning a league title with the Warriors is his favorite sports memory. He is a business major. His brother serves in the United States Navy.
