Bio
A three-year varsity and all-league baseball player for Cabrillo High School, Hernandez hit .349 with 10 doubles, 17 RBI and 25 runs his senior season for the Conquistadores. He also went 4-8 with a 1.52 ERA and 67 strikeouts on the mound. As a junior, he went 7-2 with five complete games, three shutouts and a 1.59 ERA. HE is one of 14 children in his family.
