Tonascia arrives at Hancock after playing last season for Gavilan College. He hit .264 with 19 RBI, one home run and 17 runs. He hit a two-double double and a two-run home run to account for 4 RBI in a 7-6 win over West Hills Coalinga last season.  Tonascia’s brother, Jacob, played baseball at Hancock in 2016 before earning a scholarship to Cal State Monterey Bay. His father is a Hancock graduate. Tonascia plans to continue his family’s tradition of farming and pursue a career in agriculture.
