Bio
Garcia enjoyed a historic baseball career as an all-league and all-CIF player at Santa Maria High School. With his arm and his bat, he helped lead the Saints to their first CIF title in 60 years as a junior. He threw a four-hit shutout in the championship game. His senior season, he struck out 14 in a complete game win over Morro Bay. In his final season with the Saints, Garcia hit .398 with ten doubles, three home runs, scored 27 runs, and drove in 27 more at the plate. He also hit .330 with 13 doubles as a junior for the CIF champion Saints.
