Bio
Hernandez played in 36 games as a freshman for Hancock in 2018. He hit .324 with one homerun, 14 RBI, and scored 19 runs. Hernandez went 4-for-4 with an RBI against Taft, part of a four-game stretch where he went 11-for-17 and scored six times. On the mound, he went 3-4 with seven saves. In 21 appearances on the mound, he posted a 4.54 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings pitched. A three-year varsity and all-league baseball player for Cabrillo High School, Hernandez hit .349 with 10 doubles, 17 RBI and 25 runs his senior season for the Conquistadores. He also went 4-8 with a 1.52 ERA and 67 strikeouts on the mound. He is one of 14 children in his family.
