Next Level: Nick Brown Commits to Biola University
LA MIRADA, Calif. - Allan Hancock College pitcher, Nick Brown, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Biola University next season.
"I chose Biola because the foundation of Christian faith that they have installed in all aspects of the school is awesome. I'm also a SoCal kid - my parents once lived in Orange County and it's where my older sister was born," Brown shared. "Biola has a great program with a rich history and I think this is a great opportunity for me."
Brown, a Bakersfield native, spent two seasons on the mound for the Bulldogs. He was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection this season after picking up four wins and 51 strikeouts through 16 appearances. Brown picked up a Second Team All-Conference nod as a freshman with 12 starts and six wins, including a complete game shutout against Moorpark.
"I think Coach Stevens and the culture he has created at Hancock is very special. Having to grind in order to be the best player I can be every day, and learning to just be the best human being I can be, over the past two years is something that will allow me to have success at the next level," Brown added. "My teammates here at AHC do everything that they can to push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. We definitely have a positive and winning culture in the baseball program here and I'm looking forward to seeing how that has prepared me for this next chapter."
The Eagles are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the PacWest Conference.
