Next Level: Tommy Kendlinger Heading to Biola
LA MIRADA, Calif. - Allan Hancock College outfielder, Tommy Kendlinger, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Biola University next season.
"I chose Biola because I'll have the opportunity to grow my faith while getting a quality education and playing competitive baseball," Kendlinger shared. "They are also in a quality conference and I'll be able to continue challenging myself as a player."
Kendlinger spent two seasons in the grass for the Bulldogs and closed out his sophomore campaign with Second Team All-Conference honors. He held the team's third-highest slugging percentage (.459) and a .306 batting average, ranking him fifth amongst teammates. He tallied 11 doubles, three triples, and three shots over the fence on 52 hits while driving in 30 runs and finished second with eight stolen bases. The Ventura native, now a two-time WSC Gold Glove honoree, finished with a spotless fielding record for the second consecutive season after 91 total chances. Through two seasons, Kendlinger has registered 186 putouts and 10 assists with two double players and no errors in the grass.
"My time at Hancock taught me how to work hard and grind. I learned a lot from Coach Stevens and my teammates about what it takes to prepare in order to have success and perform well in all areas of life," Kendlinger added.
The Eagles are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the PacWest Conference.
